Accessibility Statement
Last updated: April 29, 2026
1. Our Commitment
JA Headshots is committed to making our website and studio accessible to people of all abilities, including those with visual, hearing, motor, or cognitive differences. We aim to meet or exceed the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards as published by the W3C.
2. What We Do to Support Accessibility
The website at jaheadshots.com is built with the following accessibility practices:
- Semantic HTML structure with descriptive headings, landmarks, and form labels
- Sufficient color contrast between text and background
- Alternative text on photographs and decorative images
- Keyboard-navigable menus, links, accordions, and forms
- Clear focus indicators on interactive elements
- Responsive layouts that scale across phone, tablet, and desktop screens
- ARIA labels on icon-only buttons and navigation
- Readable typography with sufficient line height and spacing
3. Studio Accessibility
Our studio at Fort Myers, FL, is single-level with ground-floor entry and an accessible entrance. If you have specific accessibility needs for your session — including mobility, vision, hearing, or sensory accommodations — please contact us before booking and we will adapt the session accordingly.
4. Known Limitations
We continuously improve our website and studio. If you encounter content that is not fully accessible — for example, a video without captions, an image without alt text, or a form field that is not labeled — please let us know. We treat accessibility issues as priority bugs.
5. Contact for Accessibility Issues
If you have trouble accessing any part of our website or services, or you would like to request information in an alternative format, please contact us:
- JA Headshots
- Email: hello@jaheadshots.com
- Phone: (239) 401-6999
- Studio: Fort Myers, FL,
We aim to respond to accessibility-related inquiries within 2 business days.
6. Third-Party Content
Some content on our site is delivered by third-party providers (web fonts from Google, embedded maps, social-media links). We work with these providers but cannot fully control the accessibility of their assets. Where possible we choose providers committed to accessibility standards.
7. Formal Approach to Accessibility
We test new pages with screen readers and keyboard-only navigation before they ship. We also follow Section 508 and ADA Title III principles for public-facing services. This statement will be reviewed annually or when major site changes are made.
8. Feedback
Your feedback helps us improve. If a feature is not working for you, or if you have suggestions for how we can do better, please email hello@jaheadshots.com.
